This is the exercise device for those who don't want to exercise. We get on it, we "walk" for 20 minutes, and we get off. An elliptical would be nice but are very expensive. Our treadmill wasn't being used at all. The Gazelle Edge gets us moving. We like it.

i have had this thing for under a month now and the display thing that tells your time, calories burned, distance is already broke, Ive done nothing harmful to break it, and im sure as hell not going to take it back apart to send it back for a new one, i tried changing to batteries and that didnt work, overall i wish i wouldnt have bought it, and went for a stationary bike instead.

I have bad knee's; it's hard to walk anymore at 46y/o and exercise, as well my back is just as bad w/degenerating disc/joint disease. This is the PERFECT solution! Now...I have no excuse to turn into a blob...despite whatever weather...I burn calories to TV music stations and forget I'm working out. It takes VERY little space, is a smooth glide back and forth, I can push forward on the handles to tighten the area where arms get flabby (tricep's) and pull back to work my biceps. And I can swing my legs wide for maximum stretch and tone my fanny; or walk a hard and fast pace. All without bending my knees...wearing out the cartlidge, as w/regular walking. Perfect low impact, calorie burning for anyone or any age! I've had one for years, this is my second. (1st was stolen in a move). Just make sure your pets don't walk in front or behind you...it's NOT cute when your cat miscalculate's your swing and goes flying!

Bike arrived within a week. Shipping box was intact and appeared OK from the outside, but when I opened it, the contents had shifted considerably. During assembly, I noticed that one part was damaged, and the flywheel assembly was not working properly. Something had been damaged in shipment. Called customer services and they arranged to ship a complete front frame assembly, the major part which includes the wheel, magnetics, and pedal cranks. Exchanged the replacement parts and bike is excellent. Only cost to me will be discarding the damaged frame and flywheel. Company didn't even want it back for parts.

Item does not have resistance, so you just swing your arms and legs, like a gorilla. SO! It is easy and with a lot of time it heats you up and burns fat (I'm sure). Do it while watching T.V. it's almost enjoyable, which you'll probably do on a regular basis. If the equipment is too hard to use, then eventually it will probably end up in a garage sale.

This is a 6 speed bike with grip shifts and a steel frame though an aluminum frame is intended for release in the USA. The front wheel is 14 inches and the rear wheel is 24 inches with v-brakes on both wheels. The bike is planned to be released in October around the world.

This bike might be ok if you plan on peddling like a slow poke, but if you want any type of workout I'd look elsewhere. I'm looking for a replacement bike now.

Using this machine feels like trying to run with a swing under each foot. Your legs will fly back and forth randomly and it feels awkward. It doesn't really feel like you're getting a good workout. Assembly was easy enough, but the machine was kind of flimsy. I would not recommend this product.

My Dad had a stroke about 8 months ago and lost movement on his right side. I hoped that this machine might help him in his recovery. At first I could not understand the use of a machine that actually does the pedaling for you. I thought the motor would provide resistance and was disappointed when I set it up. I couldn't have been more wrong. My Father needed the help the motor provides. He only had one good leg. As soon as I turned it on for him he smiled. He loves it.

The most important feature turned out to be the dial that controls the speed. This provides almost infinite (so it seems) speeds. The digital ones can't do that. When he first started he needed the slower speeds that only this dial could provide.

This machine has performed flawlessly, it has been used almost every day for 2 months with no problems. The timer is a great feature, the machine shuts off when it reaches 0.

Minor Issues
1) We removed the calorie counter as it gets in the way and kept falling off. It wasn't needed anyway.
2) The blue plastic feet are not secured to the legs and tend to spin when moving it around. Secure the blue feet and it would be a perfect machine.

My Dad's trainer checked it out before he started using it.

I bought this because I was just looking for a low cost machine that I could use in my spare time. I was not looking for a hard-core workout machine, so the Gazelle Edge is perfect. There's not any resistance, but I found that if you buy some ankle weights and use them while on the machine, it works very good. This machine is perfect to use while watching TV instead of just sitting on the couch. I have stress fractures from running, and there's no impact, so this is a good machine to get the heart rate up and a good workout.

Arrived well-packed and in good shape. My hubby put it together and he had some trouble aligning the lower frames together. After a struggle it finally fit into place. I owned this untill it fell apart. I am a larger person, 250lbs. The rating of this junk is about 200lbs. Be small to get small. I could use this for 45 min to an hours 4 to 5 times a week UNTIL my arms started going to sleep. Little did I know that this was the first symptom of repetative motion problems (tennis elbow). There are other MUCH better machines out there to use unless you are already a small light person. Notice that no LARGE people are demonstrating these machines.........

I have had this for 2 months now in the box. I didnt assemble cause I was exhausted still from the elliptical I last assmebled.

The purchase price was 146. shipping from amazon was fast. of course the box
looked as if it had been opened and repackaged.

all parts were in there. there was no instruction manual and it took me 15 minutes online to actually find one.

assembly is fairly straightforward but the manual should be clearer. the diagrams are awful and some parts should have been easy but were confusing.

this took me 3 hours to assemble. but I think two people can set it up in 45 minutes. it just needs 3 hands to do it right.

the included tools are subpar but anyone with the right sized wrench can do it right.

the most confusing part was the cable end and spring hook. that is why many people had no tension working....

1. take the skinny metal part of cable and worm it into the hook (the bottom one).
2. then extend it upwards and pull on it until the upper metal part aligns properly and with a little finagling u should be set.


also make sure you have the all three cables and extensions hooked up. it took me 20 minutes to snake all three through the upright tube. pay attention to which end attaches to which end or you will repeat again and again.

finally when all was said and done, it was good to go and worked properly from the get go. the pulse sensor is super quick and fastet to pick up then higher end equipment.

I would have given it a 4 or 5 for price but I took off points for packaging, absence of a manual, and poor instructions.
I think the build is solid and this thing will last.

There was assembly required but the directions were laid out well and easy to follow. The bike is very quiet. It has a lot of room for adjustment which was important as I am not tall. The seat can be adjusted in seconds for another user of a different height. I love the bike and it doesn't take up much room at all. I would definetly recommend it, especially with the arm attachment which was hard to find.
